The unexpected happens to Peter Highman before the flight that should have taken him off to Los Angeles from Atlanta to be at the bedside of his wife who would deliver their first child in a few days from the date of his intended flying on account of his having a chance meet with the aspiring actor and disaster-magnet Ethan Tremblay at the Airport. Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps Movie Review

Oliver Stone won’t be able to deny it: a movie, however good, cannot change rooted mentalities. More than twenty years ago, Wall Street, the first in the series, was gathering people all over the world in movie theatres. The heavy impact of the film couldn’t however incite anyone to stop trusting blindly in the power of money, it actually gave birth to more traders that believed in the vocation of playing around with it. Your best laid plan can go kaput in case you are dealing with children. Someone planning to use the little ones for his own benefit may find himself becoming a foster father to them. This is exactly what happens with Gru – the super-bad or super-villain of the animation feature “Despicable Me”. The film once again proves that children have this quality of melting the heart of even the most hardened criminals. Perhaps it is their innocence that help the little ones find out the positive traits of a villain. Find out more

    Hot in Cleveland (2010)

The past months have been pretty amazing when it comes to new good TV series. I’ve loved watching sitcoms years ago and for a while I though many new producers kinda lacked inspiration. Still, the new sitcoms I’ve watched were starting to get funny again, as in the good ole days. I’ve already recommended you Modern Family, now it’s time to talk about something new, Hot in Cleveland. Many series are focused on the American dream family: mother, father, kids and maybe the dog (must be a Retriever) and it’s pretty refreshing to see something new. We have 3 “gals” … Continue reading

    Frontline: Sick Around America (2009)

It’s Friday again. Time to think about the weekend and all the amazing things we can now enjoy. Many of my readers (self included) use these days to catch up with watching movies or documentaries, reading books etc. Since laying on the couch  and watching something is easier, we’ll do this. The recommended show is a documentary I’ve seen some months ago on Netflix, titled “Frontline: Sick Around America“. Find out more
